Montgomery County July 1st COVID-19 and Testing Update

Based on the information found on the county’s COVID-19 website, here is a snapshot of the spread of coronavirus across Montgomery County.

Since Monday afternoon, 29 new COVID-19 positive cases and two new deaths were reported in Montgomery County.

The 29 positive individuals are from 18 municipalities and range in age from 1- to 100-years old.

Montgomery County’s COVID-19 death toll is at 799, and the 117 new positive cases bring the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 8,319 countywide, 4,382 of which are females, 3,909 are males.

The average age of individuals with COVID-19 across the county is 53.8 years-old.

Montgomery County COVID-19 Testing

Montgomery County’s drive-through COVID-19 testing location on the Central Campus of Montgomery County Community College will close permanently on Tuesday, June 30, at 4 p.m. New walk-up testing sites and operations will be announced later this week.

The COVID-19 walk-up testing sites at the Delaware Valley Community Health Center in Norristown and the Montgomery County Office of Public Health Center in Pottstown will be closed Wednesday, July 1 through Friday, July 3.

Details on the re-opening of these sites and their operations will be announced later this week.

COVID-19 contact tracing efforts are ongoing and are critical to slowing the spread of the disease. The County has partnered with ACLAMO, Family Services of Montgomery County, Montgomery County OIC, and Visiting Nurses Association Community Services to help with contact tracing efforts. Individuals who have been tested or identified as a direct contact of an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 and has received a call from any of our community partners may return the call to 610.278.5923 to find out their results or status. All information discussed on the call is strictly confidential and is only used to trace COVID-19 cases.
