Montco’s Sabrina Carpenter Kicks Off Concert Event Exclusive to Gamers

East Greenville’s Sabrina Carpenter stars in Fortnite’s new “Dance With Sabrina” mode, where fans help direct her virtual concert.

Montgomery County’s own Sabrina Carpenter is dropping in for more Fortnite with an interactive concert event, writes Michael Caruso for Sports Illustrated.

The latest Fortnite Festival event, “Dance with Sabrina”, launched last Friday. Now, fans have a front-row seat to the East Greenville native’s virtual concert that they help create.

Fortnite has collaborated with musical artists in the past, but this event takes it a step further. Players can now immerse themselves in Carpenter’s digital performance by dancing to her hit songs like ‘Bed Chem’ and ‘Espresso’.

Those who keep the beat can take on key roles during the show, from working as the Video Artist to choosing dance moves as the Dance Leader.

The creative upgrade to the earlier Sabrina Carpenter content adds to the game and gives fans more ways to engage with the pop star inside the ever-evolving game.

At the end of the performance, top participants can snap a virtual photo with Carpenter via her in-game avatar, offering a unique digital souvenir.

The event runs through June 16, giving fans two weeks to step into the spotlight and share the stage with the pop singer.
