Forbes: America’s Best Employers for New Grads are in Montgomery County
Forbes has published its 2021 list of America’s Best Employers for New Grads, and two local companies made the cut, writes Michael Potter for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
To identify the companies most liked by new workforce entrants for its annual ranking, Forbes teamed up with Statista, a market research company.
The ranking was compiled based on a survey of 20,000 Americans with under 10 years of professional experience who are employed by businesses with a minimum of 1,000 employees.
Merck, the pharmaceutical giant with sizable operations in West Point, took first spot on the list as the best company for new grads.
Merck is led by Upper Gwynedd-based Kenneth Frazier, who is set to retire at the end of this month.
Meanwhile, IKEA, the Swedish furnishings giant with its U.S. headquarters in Conshohocken, ranked at No. 136, also for new grads.
This puts the company with 208,000 employees across the globe in sixth place among the seven companies from the Philadelphia region to make the list.
