Dyann Roth, CEO of Resources for Human Development in Wynnewood recently discussed the challenges of her job and Trump’s role in it, writes Jane M. Von Bergen for Philly.com.

Roth is the leader of RHD and largely grew up within the organization. RHD relies on Medicaid funding to help tens of thousands of people who often fall through the cracks. These include addicts, the homeless, and people with disabilities.

Her mother worked at RHD and Roth used to come in to help out after school from the age of 15. Over the years she rose through the ranks working in roles as varied as night receptionist, to accounts payable and finally in 2013 as CEO.

“What it helped me do was understand that we’re all part of one big system and each is so incredibly important,” she said.

According to Roth, one of the biggest challenges was Trump’s attempt to introduce the revised American Health Care Act. “It was a terrifically bad piece of legislation that would have done real damage to our country.”

But as to RHD’s ongoing success she largely attributes to her team. “I don’t often make decisions alone,” she said.
