Horsham’s Bimbo Bakeries marked a milestone this fall with the 10th edition of the Bimbo Global Race, the world’s largest race for a cause, the company announced in a press release.
This year’s event united more than 165,000 runners across 28 cities and 22 countries, all racing under the motto “The Good We Share.” Their collective effort will result in more than 3 million slices of bread donated to food banks worldwide.
Grupo Bimbo’s Global Marketing Director, Alberto Levy, explains that the race goes beyond the finish line. “At Grupo Bimbo, we genuinely connect our brand’s purpose with our consumers. The Bimbo Global Race reflects this by placing people, their values, and communities at the heart of the event.
The 2025 main event took place in Mexico City, with a race shirt design inspired by the country’s cultural heritage. Over ten years, the initiative has grown into a global movement, drawing 1.7 million participants and donating more than 29 million slices of bread.
In the U.S., runners joined virtually or in person at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl, where Luis Gutierrez and Elizabeth Ben-Ishai won the 10K divisions.
