The Wardrobe, a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating clothing insecurity, is coming to Norristown, the organization announced in a press release.
The grand opening takes place on Tuesday, September 9. Celebrations take place from 11 AM to 6 PM at the Montgomery County Senior Adult Activities Center, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30.
The new site will serve as a full-service hub offering clothing appointments, educational workshops, and a resale store open to the public Tuesdays through Thursdays. It joins four other Wadrobe locations across the region in Philadelphia, Delaware, and Chester counties.
Expanding into Montco, the nonprofits expects to help hundred more residents each year access the clothing ans career support they need.
Wardrobe was founded three decades ago and provides more than clothing. It offers its signature “STAR Treatment,” which stands for Styling, Time, Advance, and Respect. Each year, the organization supports about 10,000 people across the region and keeps more than 200,000 pounds of clothing out of landfills through resale.
From workwear to everyday essentials, The Wardrobe ensures that clothing is never a barrier to opportunity. Its new Norristown location will connect Montco residents with resources to look and feel confident.
