Two Montgomery basketball standouts, Rasheer Fleming and Eric Dixon, are headed to the NBA.
According to Saint Joseph’s University forward, Rasheer Fleming, was selected 31st overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2025 NBA Draft. Though he’s expected to land with the Phoenix Suns in a deal to be finalized later, the pick marks a major milestone for both Fleming and the Hawks. Fleming was the first draft selection from the school since DeAndre’ Bembry in 2016.
Fleming averaged 14.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game last season, earning First Team honors in both the A10 and Philadelphia’s Big 5.
Meanwhile, Villanova’s all-time leading scorer, Eric Dixon, has signed a two-way deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Willow Grove native and Abington Senior High alum led the nation with 23.2 points per game last year, wrapping a historic Wildcats career with 2,314 points. The third-team All-American now joins an NBA roster stocked with promise.
With ties to Willow Grove, Hawk Hill, and the Main Line, both athletes are making Montco proud as they take their next steps on the national stage.
