Souderton’s Asher’s Chocolate has teamed up once again with Federal Donuts & Chicken for a limited-edition sweet, writes the Daily Local News.
The ‘Moon Rock Donut’ launched June 20 to mark the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. It will be available for just one week.
The chocolate cake donut comes topped with marshmallow glaze, crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, a caramel drizzle, and most importantly, Asher’s Moon Rock candy. It’s the second release in the two companies’ four-part collaboration series. Previously, they released the popular Cherry Cordial Donut, which sold out early each day during Mother’s Day week.
“We’re excited to keep building on what we started,” said Chester Asher, marketing director of Asher’s. “Moon Rocks have gained a lot of traction since they launched last year, and this collaboration is a chance to showcase them in a way that feels fresh but still true to who we are.”
Federal Donuts & Chicken CEO Jeff Benjamin said the collaboration is “our tribute to summer, to Philly, and to making people smile one donut at a time.”
The Moon Rock Donut is available at all Philadelphia-area Federal Donuts & Chicken locations, including several in Montgomery County.
