Big changes are brewing in Ardmore’s Tired Hands, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The brewing company has reimagined its original BrewCafé, now operating as Ardmore Brewing Co. The new name comes with a refreshed interior, an expanded food and cocktail menu, and a streamlined beer list.
Founder Jean Broillet IV says the revamp pays homage to the community that has supported Tired Hands since opening in 2012. The menu now features craft cocktails like an Old Fashioned, a watermelon margarita, and a cucumber mint gimlet, alongside elevated pub fare from Executive Chef Antonio Hidalgo—including oysters, clams, steak tartare, and a signature bologna and cheddar panini.
Beer lovers can still count on eight taps, with six staples and two rotating seasonal brews. Meanwhile, Tired Hands is expanding beyond Ardmore, eyeing a unique West Chester location and exploring Newtown Square. Details are under wraps, but Broillet hints, “There’s nothing like it that I know of that exists in the States.”
The brewery is also scaling up distribution, striking its largest deal yet with Shangy’s, which could boost production by 25%.
Ardmore Brewing Co. is open Wednesday-Saturday, with the potential to expand hours based on demand.
