Norah Busch, a junior at Pope John Paul II High School, has been recognized as the 2024-25 Gatorade Pennsylvania Volleyball Player of the Year, according to a staff report from Catholic Philly.
Busch is the Royersford school’s first student-athlete to receive this honor.
Each year, Gatorade Player of the Year honors one winner in each of the 50 states including Washington, D.C., across 12 high school sports, naming one National Player of the Year in each sport.
Last season, Busch led the Golden Panthers to a third straight PIAA Class 3A state title and a new 26-0 record. The 6-foot-1 middle hitter recorded 426 kills and 72 service aces and earned match MVP honors in the state final.
She also achieved 77 digs and 58 blocks and posted a .514 kill percentage and a .374 hitting percentage. Busch wrapped up her season with 632 kills.
Busch, who is a top student and a member of the PJP II student council and National Honor Society, has committed to playing volleyball at North Carolina State University.
