Pope John Paul II High School girls’ volleyball team has wrapped up another great season by winning its second consecutive state championship, reports Jennaphr Frederick for FOX 29 Philadelphia.

The girls defeated District 7 champion Hampton 3-1 to take the PIAA Class 3A championship crown.

The Golden Panthers remained undefeated throughout the season, bringing the team’s winning streak up to 54 matches.

Many of the team members have managed to impress college coaches around the nation with their abilities and will continue to play volleyball at that level once they move on from high school.

This year, the girls are just one of several championship teams at the Royersford school. The football team also won its first district title since 2011. But the win that matters even more to the players is taking the Pioneer Athletic Conference Championship.

Another winning team this year for the small school is the field hockey team. The girls won the district championship.

Watch the entire segment at FOX 29 Philadelphia.
