PA CareerLink® Montgomery County will host a Discovery Day on Sept. 5 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM in support of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry’s PA CareerLink® Awareness Days campaign. The event will take place at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit at 2 W. Lafayette St. in Norristown (next to the Transportation Center), and there is free parking.
Registration is preferred and available online. Attendees of CareerLink® Montgomery County’s Discovery Day will learn about all of the amazing services available to help them meet their training and employment goals while they enjoy free refreshments and networking with like-minded professionals, staff, and partner agencies. There will also be services such as professional headshots, resume reviews, and samples of the most popular career readiness workshops.
Individuals are encouraged to “dress to impress” and to come with an existing resume and any questions that can be answered by the many on-site partners, including YWCA, Keystone Opportunity Center, OVR, CADCOM, JEVS, MCIU, Veteran Services, Harcum College, Apprenticeship, Maturity Works, Legal Aid, and Unemployment Compensation.
