Montgomery County officials have set the fall Drug Take Back Day for Saturday, October 28, according to a staff report from WFMZ 69 News.

Residents will be able to drop off any unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at several locations across the county.

Drug Take Back Day encourages county residents to dispose of their prescription and over-the-counter tablets and capsules, inhalers, creams, ointments, nasal sprays, pet medicines, and vaping products in a proper way.

According to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, no needles, liquid medications, and intravenous or injectable solutions can be dropped off.

The full list of drop-off locations will be available later this month on the District Attorney’s website.

Residents can also drop off their medicines throughout the year at over 50 permanent prescription drug disposal boxes, the majority of which can be found at police departments.
