Celebrate Bike to Work Day with Montgomery County

GVF, a not-for-profit organization created to advocate and promote a viable transportation network for the region’s economic vitality, is excited to be partnering with Valley Forge Historical National Park, elected officials, companies and prominent leaders throughout the region, to host its 8th annual Bike to Work Day event on Friday, May 17, 2019. Rain date scheduled for May 31st.
The event will consist of two group rides, followed by a press event. Cyclists include; Chester County Commissioner, Chair, Michelle Kichline; Montgomery County Commissioner, Chair, Valerie Arkoosh; Montgomery County Commissioner, Vice Chair, Ken Lawrence; and other prominent leaders in transportation from our region.

Cyclists can choose to ride from one of the following locations to Valley Forge National Historical Park. If you are unable to ride, be sure to stop by Valley Forge National Historical Park, Student Pavilion, for the press event, refreshments, and vendors!
Montgomery County
Where: Norristown Transportation Center
When: Group ride departing at 7:15 am
How: Ride approximately 5 miles on the Schuylkill River Trail north to Valley Forge Park.
Chester County
Where: Taylor Alley Lot, Phoenixville, PA 19460 (Click here for map)
When: Group ride departing at 7:15 am
How: Ride approximately 7 miles on the Schuylkill River Trail south to Valley Forge Park
Press Event starts at 8:15 am
