These Montgomery County Companies Showed the Most Growth in the Pandemic

There are 20 Philadelphia-area public companies that have seen their market capitalizations show pandemic growth since the pandemic started in March 2020, writes Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Of the 20 companies that had pandemic growth, two are solidly in Montgomery County while several are in nearby Chester County.

AmerisourceBergen just relocated from Chesterbrook to Conshohocken, and they assist pharmaceutical manufacturers in bringing their products to market and help with each step in pre-commercial and clinical trials. They had a market cap of $25.5 billion, with a 54% change in market cap since March 2020.

Essential Utilities Inc. in Bryn Mawr had a market cap of $11.6 billion. The company provides drinking water and wastewater treatment in Pennsylvania and seven other states. The company saw a 55% change in market cap since March 2020.

In nearby Chester County, Teleflex Inc., a provider of specialty medical devices in Wayne, had a market cap of $17.6 billion with a change in market cap since March 2020 of 35%.

Also in Chester County, manufacturing company Ametek, Inc., had a market cap of $30.2 billion, and the change in the market cap since March 202 was 111%.
