Louis Knight, a Narberth singer and songwriter who placed among the top seven performers in the last season of American Idol, is getting the second chance of a lifetime, writes Alicia Vitarelli for 6abc.

He is one of the ten contestants from the last season who will face off for a coveted spot in this year’s top ten.

The twenty-year-old Knight finally got to perform on the famous American Idol stage on Monday after spending all of last season performing from home due to the pandemic. He decided to perform with an original love song he wrote, called Maybe That.

The song was a big hit of the night and was complemented by the whole production crew and the band who were playing his music.

Now his ongoing do-over depends on the audience – including you! – and their votes.

“I am on here to fight for this spot,” said Knight. “I really am. I’ve been working so, so hard throughout this year in this pandemic and trying to trying to take every lesson that I learned from my American Idol journey last year.”
