While Hobart’s Run has hosted the “Ram Run 5K”in the past, due to pandemic concerns, this year’s “Ram Run 5K” and Mile Walk event will take place any time and on a course of participants’ choosing during the week of Oct 26.

Crowd prohibitions have led organizers to create a “virtual” race sure to provide a fun and safe venue that is open to anyone anywhere in the world. The event will be Halloween themed and costumes are encouraged.

In addition to awards for best times in a variety of categories, prizes for best and most original costumes will also be given out.  Photos of runners and walkers in costume can be emailed to Cathy Skitko on the day you complete your 5K or mile course.

Area runners and walkers are welcome to use the macadam paths that wind through Edgewood, accessible at 989 E High St in Pottstown.

Runners and walkers must register online by Friday, Oct 9.  The registration fee is $25 per person and includes a quality dry-wick race shirt.

If participants would like to be considered for a medal, times must be reported by the bewitching hour of 11:59 p.m. on Halloween, Oct 31

Hobart’s Run also is seeking race sponsors whose contributions will help fund its worthy community causes. The sponsorship deadline is Friday, Oct. 2. For more information, Email Stephanie Trauner.
