Keystone Opportunity Center offering free lunches to children all summer

By

Thanks to a partnership between Keystone Opportunity Center and Philabundance, Keystone will be distributing at estimated 1,800 lunch boxes at Fresh For All, and in Keystone’s Food Pantry.

One in four children within the Souderton Area School District receive free or reduced meals throughout the school year. Now that school is over, these families are looking to their local food pantry—Keystone Opportunity Center—for more help. That’s why Keystone Opportunity Center will be offering additional programs this summer to help students and families in need.

Keystone Opportunity Center started a Student Summer Aid Program in 2015. Grocery bags packed to the brim with kid-friendly food are distributed to families with children who are clients of Keystone’s food pantry. This food is in addition to the regular monthly food pantry distribution. As such, it is food that Keystone buys, or is donated.
