Steven Guzman, far right, receives his leadership award

Eagleville resident and Stream Senior Director Steven Guzman recently won a Power of Leadership Award at Stream’s national annual conference, Ignition, in Fort Worth, Texas. The Power of Leadership Award is presented to Associates who have led by example and built large teams with integrity while also exemplifying leadership to others around them.

Stream (Stream Energy), a leading direct selling company and provider of Energy and Wireless Services, held its annual conference, Ignition, at the Fort Worth Convention Center  inspiring Stream Associates to “Lead The Charge.” More than 4,000 Independent Associates from across the country showed up for a weekend of professional development training, exciting keynote speakers and company-wide recognition.

Serving as the title sponsor of the conference for the second year in a row, Mercedes-Benz Corporate Sales had four cars and several concierges at the event to provide Associates with the full Mercedes experience. The partnership originates from Stream’s commitment to provide a Mercedes Benz to qualifying Associates based on his/her annual achievements. Two conference attendees, William Spomer and Teresa Alcocer, also won a one-year lease to a brand-new “Stream” blue C300 Mercedes-Benz as part of a random drawing.

“Our Associates came to Ignition ready to work hard and improve their business skills. As an added bonus, Associates leave inspired and encouraged by their peers who are also building businesses,” said Chelsey Berend, vice president of field experience for Stream and head of planning for Ignition 2019. “From the Mercedes experience on the floor to the speakers on stage to the sales training sessions, it was a weekend that captured the Stream culture—one of passion, service and impact.”

Three guest speakers took the stage during the weekend, including motivational speakerEric Thomas and high-performance coach Brendon Burchard. Women’s networking icon Sonia Stringer led a workshop on Friday for Stream’s Women of Power—a group of female Associates that actively encourage each other in their Stream business—about hosting women-empowering events in their own neighborhoods.

Stream CEO Mark “Bouncer” Schiro addressed the company in the general session, where he highlighted the established history of Stream, the future of the industry and characteristics of good leadership.

“Now is the time for our Associates to be ultra-focused on leadership development and team building because we’re laying out a path of success for them to thrive,” said Schiro. “Stream wants each and every one of our Associates to experience significant personal success, so we’re helping them lead the charge in this industry by educating, training and encouraging them.”

Additionally, Stream honored Associates who have made tremendous strides in their business and leadership skills through several prestigious awards during Ignition.
