Conshohocken’s Allied Universal Continues Expansion with Yet Another Acquisition

Allied Universal, formed by the merger of Conshohocken’s AlliedBarton and California’s Universal Services of America, is continuing its expansion into the security services market with the acquisition of Apollo International, writes Alison Burdo for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Apollo International, which has around 3,400 employees in more than two dozen states, including its Fort Washington offices, has annual revenues of $88 million. It offers ”uniformed security officers, concierge/desk attendant services, investigations, special operations, competitive intelligence, risk management consulting, vulnerability assessments, and other security/asset protection programs.”

Allied Universal, which is expected to go public in the near future, did not clarify whether the Apollo acquisition would impact its current employees or if there will be any office consolidations. The company also did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
