When you hear the word “yogi,” you might picture an Instagram-perfect fitness model dressed in designer athletic wear, holding a sleek water bottle, striking a flawless pose in a sunlit studio. But that image, while popular, only scratches the surface of what it truly means to be a yogi.

Step into Nova Dawn Yoga & Pilates in King of Prussia (314 S. Henderson Road), and you’ll discover something much deeper: a sanctuary rooted in real transformation — not just aesthetics.

Founder and Owner Tyneeha Rivers is no stranger to juggling life’s demands. As a single mother, she spent years balancing her career, parenting, and personal well-being. Amid that hustle, she found yoga first as a personal outlet, and eventually as a calling.

“I’ve been practicing yoga for over 15 years. I found it when my son was still young, and it became something that made me feel whole,” Rivers said. “A few years ago, I thought, ‘I love this so much — how can I help others through it?’ Whether it’s supporting someone’s mindfulness journey or their physical health, I wanted to be a light for others.”

She became certified to teach and began offering small group classes on her front lawn. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, she transitioned to Zoom, continuing to show up for her growing community from wherever she could.

How Nova Dawn Yoga & Pilates is Filling a Wellness Gap in KOP

Nova Dawn is King of Prussia’s first and only dedicated yoga and Pilates studio, meeting a long-overlooked need in the area.

“There wasn’t a dedicated yoga or Pilates studio in King of Prussia — none at all,” Rivers stated. “I had to drive to other towns just to find a space to practice. Sure, some gyms had yoga classes, but not the true studio experience. That’s when I thought, ‘Why not create the space I had been searching for?’”

Rivers ran with her goal to open a studio, making it her mission to foster harmony of physical, mental, and emotional well-being through diverse yoga and Pilates classes offered in an inclusive, supportive space.

And whether you’re new to practice or a seasoned mover mastering your warrior and reverse warrior, tree, half-moon, or headstand pose, the studio’s core values — integrity, mindful growth, respect, and community connection — guide every class and interaction.

At Nova Dawn, Rivers emphasizes mindfulness, inclusivity, and community connection. The studio offers a wide range of classes for all experience levels, including complete beginners. She also plans to expand the studio’s impact through workshops focused on healthy living and mindfulness practices.

A Strong Start and Business Community Ties

Nova Dawn officially opened its doors with a well-attended grand opening in July 2025, kicking things off with a ribbon-cutting celebration and an outpouring of support from the King of Prussia community.

“Of course, my mom, my son, and my brother were there,” Rivers said. “But what amazed me was how much the local community showed up. Most people weren’t just there to support me — they genuinely wanted to learn more about what we’re building. It was incredible to share this little haven I’ve created.

To thank the community, Rivers offered discounted rates during grand opening week — many of those first-time visitors are now regular students.

Eager to grow her connections with other local entrepreneurs, Rivers also joined the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, which she says has already made a lasting impact.

“I joined the Chamber just about a month ago and quickly realized how valuable it is — not just for visibility, but for connection,” she said. “After attending a meeting and speaking with Linda Jerue, I was inspired by how deeply the Chamber is involved in the community. Running a small business is challenging, but being part of a network where we can share ideas and support one another makes a huge difference.”

At its core, Nova Dawn isn’t just a fitness studio but a movement toward wellness that welcomes every body and every story. In a world where people often feel pressured to fit a mold before showing up, Rivers has created a space where showing up as you are is more than enough. Whether you’re seeking strength, stillness, or simply a supportive space to breathe, Nova Dawn Yoga & Pilates is ready to meet you where you are — and walk alongside you toward where you’re meant to be.

“My goal has always been to create a space where people feel seen, supported, and safe — no matter their background or level of experience,” concluded Rivers. “Nova Dawn is also one of the only local studios to offer both infrared heated and non-heated yoga and Pilates classes under one roof — making wellness more accessible, versatile, and empowering for all levels.”
