The Willow Charitable Fund is inviting the community to attend its beloved annual fundraiser, The Taste, to raise funds to support community members in need. The event will take place on Sunday, April 19, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Kremp Florist in Willow Grove.
Guests will have the chance to sample delicious bites and drinks from more than 20 local restaurants, breweries, and wineries, including Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, Crooked Eye Brewery, Bonefish Grill, Yard’s Brewery, Harvest Seasonal Grille, Miller’s Ale House, and Rita’s Italian Ice.
The Taste is a more than 50-year tradition at WCF that has supported the organization’s mission of helping local families with direct assistance through grants.
“I would like to thank the Willow Charitable Fund for helping me when I was in a difficult situation with my rent. They kindly listened to my situation and the urgency of the payment that needed to be made,” an anonymous grant recipient said.
Since 1971, the Willow Charitable Fund has provided support to neighbors in Willow Grove, Horsham, Upper Moreland, and surrounding townships, covering everything from emergency aid and home repairs to life-saving equipment for first responders and scholarships for EMTs. Every dollar raised stays local, helping those who need it most.
“The Taste has been a popular event for many years, bringing the best restaurants in the area together in one beautiful location for the attendees to sample their most popular dishes,” said WCF Board Member Anne Anastasi. “This is a wonderful, worthwhile, fulfilling event.”
The Kremp Family has proudly provided the venue for The Taste since its inception, and they’re looking forward to hosting it another year.
“My father, Charles F. Kremp III, started hosting this wonderful event 50+ years ago at our flower shop. I am so glad to keep the tradition alive as a current board member. It is great to help needy families in our local area get through a tough spot in their lives,” said Drew Kremp.
With this year’s Taste event, WCF will be able to continue to assist individuals in need in the Upper Moreland community and beyond.
