David’s Bridal’s Next Chapter Is Taking Shape in King of Prussia

King of Prussia-based David’s Bridal is reinventing itself with AI, new services and a broader wedding strategy.

King of Prussia-based David’s Bridal is charting a new course as the longtime bridal retailer works to reinvent itself, writes Erin McArthy for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Under CEO Kelly Cook, the company is expanding beyond its traditional reputation as an affordable dress destination and repositioning itself as a full-service wedding platform. The shift includes new revenue streams, a growing digital presence, and a major investment in artificial intelligence.

At the center of that strategy is Pearl, the company’s AI-powered wedding planning tool. Since launching last year, the platform has attracted tens of thousands of users, offering personalized planning tools and vendor connections. The platform’s shopping integration is designed to guide couples through every stage of the wedding process.

The transformation also includes a broader product mix. While David’s Bridal continues to offer dresses at lower price points, it has introduced higher-end collections, new boutique concepts, and a recently launched wholesale division.

The changes follow a period of restructuring for the company, which moved its headquarters from Conshohocken to King of Prussia and emerged from bankruptcy in 2023. Cook said the focus now is on growth, efficiency, and reconnecting with customers.
