Get ready to eat, Chester County. Throughout the heat of June and into September, food festivals are popping up around the county. Here are some to look forward to for the rest of the summer, write Anne E. Hill, Ben Silver, and Olivia Stefano for Main Line Today.
Summer Biergarten—Malvern. In Historic Sugartown, biergartens are available on June 25, July 16, and Aug. 20 from 5-8 PM. Food trucks and beverages take to the grounds with attendances from Locust Lane Craft Brewery, Chaddsford Winery, and Manatawny Stillworks. There will also be craft vendors and music. Tickets are required, and admission for children under 18 is free.
Reggae & Soca Wine Food & Music Festival—Glenmoore. On June 27 from 1-7 PM, Ludwig Field will be boasting the sounds of live reggae and soca music. Jam out to the beats while enjoying wine tastings and food vendors. The event is adults 21 and older.
Mushroom Festival—Kennett Square. The 41st annual Kennett Square Mushroom Festival kicks off from Sept.12-13. The event celebrates the culture of Kennett Square, mushroom farms, and mushrooms themselves. Dig into mushie foods of all kinds, like fungi soup, cheesesteaks, fried mushrooms, and more. On top of that, scout the block for mushroom-inspired makers and creators. It’s one of the most popular Chester County events of the year.
Chester County Restaurant Festival—West Chester. Prepare your appetite for streets of restaurant goodies on Sept. 20 from 12-5:30 PM. All manor of Chester County establishments show up to tout their best dishes, drinks, and snacks. Live music, artisans, and entertainment will sate your mind’s hunger while you enjoy a variety of appetizers, treats, and more.
