The King of Prussia District has begun construction on its next major investment in public space: Recharge Park, a vibrant new recreational destination set to open before summer 2026 at 680 Freedom Business Center Drive, between Topgolf and Valley Forge Casino Resort.
Building on the success of the award-winning First Avenue Linear Park, Recharge Park will further enhance Moore Park’s central commercial corridor with a unique blend of sustainability, playfulness, and community gathering spaces. Designed by King of Prussia-based landscape architects Stuart + Associates, the park’s theme of “recharging” pays tribute to the site’s former substation and offers a place for employees, residents, and visitors to relax, connect, and enjoy the outdoors.
Features of Recharge Park
- Sustainable design with solar-powered lighting, covered outdoor workstations, and recycled materials.
- Playful elements like swings made from repurposed wind turbines and a rock lounge with boulders and a Zen-style garden.
- Community gathering spaces ranging from an open lawn for yoga, movies, and picnics to smaller work and play nooks, plus a food truck pull-off.
- Immersive natural landscapes with native grasses, perennials, shrubs, and trees.
Recharge Park is supported by a Montco 2040 Implementation Grant and King of Prussia District’s capital improvement funds. The project is a collaboration among King of Prussia District, Upper Merion Township, Brandywine Realty Trust, and American Baptist Churches USA. Project construction was awarded to local contractor Patriot Grounds & Site Services.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to creating vibrant and connected public spaces, Recharge Park will become an important stop along the future Gulph Road Connector Trail, which is currently in the planning and design phases,” said Eric Goldstein, President and CEO of King of Prussia District. “Together with Upper Merion Township and Montgomery County, we’re working hard to expand King of Prussia’s trail and park network, improving connectivity and access to green space throughout the community.”
Recharge Park represents the next step in transforming King of Prussia into a greener, healthier, and more connected community.
