The King of Prussia District has announced plans for Recharge Park, a 1.8-acre haven designed with both professionals and residents in mind, writes Kenny Cooper for WHYY.
The project aims to add a rare touch of nature to the high-traffic corridor. It will have a lawn, walking path, swings, seating, a food truck pull-through, and gardens.
Recharge Park marks the business district’s first full-scale park project and builds on the success of the 1.3 mile First Avenue Linear Park. Both efforts reflect a broader push to enhance the visual appeal and livability of Upper Merion Township’s commercial landscape. Designed with sustainability in mind, the park will include recycled materials, solar lighting, and views of Valley Forge National Park.
King of Prussia District says the park will open by Spring 2026. It is part of a five-pillar strategy to boost economic growth and compete in the evolving suburban office market. King of Prussia District CEO Eric Goldstein emphasized that attention to these open spaces matter.
“There is a value to residents, there’s a value to business owners and there’s a value to visitors in places that look like they are cared for and are cared for,” Goldstein said.
