Despite a slowdown in federal support, King of Prussia-based InductEV is seeing major gains, thanks in large part to its local connections, writes Sarah Huffman for Technical.ly.

InductEV produces wireless charging systems for electric fleet vehicles serving municipal transit agencies and port-to-distribution-center logistics operations. The company has clients around the globe and continues to sign national partnerships, but it has no plans on leaving Southeastern Pennsylvania, citing that there is no need to relocate its headquarters to find qualified talent.

“It was a great place to recruit people,” said CEO John Rizzo. “The local Philadelphia university footprint, with Penn and others, is quite robust.”

With less competition than other hubs like Silicon Valley, Rizzo sees a prime opportunity to attract talent to its Pennsylvania offices. The company aims to grow into a major player by focusing on expanding its local workforce.

The company maintains its commitment to the local workforce by leveraging relationships with local universities.

“If somebody is in the Pennsylvania area and loves being in Pennsylvania because of the nature of the state and the lifestyle, then we can offer something really interesting to those folks,” said Rizzo.
