Main Line Health’s new CEO, Ed Jimenez, stepped into his new role with a vision to bring the healthcare system back to profitability, writes Harold Brubaker for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
His arrival comes as the nonprofit emerges from pandemic-era losses and aims for a return to stable growth.
Jimenez and his wife just moved into their new home in Villanova, chosen for its central location to the four-hospital network. “This is rarified air that we all enjoy as residents of these communities,” said Ed Jimenez.
Jimenez sees an opportunity to keep suburban patients from defaulting to city hospitals like Penn and Jefferson. “Most cancer care can happen on the Main Line,” he said.
Under his leadership, Main Line is pressing forward on key projects, including the development of the former St. Charles Borromeo Seminary campus in Wynnewood just across from Lankenau Medical Center.
Main Line Health’s goal is clear: better access, shorter wait times, and stronger community presence. And now planted in Montco, Jimenez is leading the charge.
