Ambler Man Wins Nick Castellanos Look-Alike Competition with Help from His Family

Ambler’s Michael Penna won a Nick Castellanos look-alike contest, thanks to a surprise entry by his wife and their twin daughters.

Ambler’s Michael Penna found himself center stage at Fringe Bar in Philadelphia during a Nick Castellanos look-alike contest, writes Ariel Simpson for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Wearing eye black and a Phillies jersey, Penna joined dozens of fellow dopplegangers at the event, which took place last Friday. Penna won over the crowd, especially with a wink to his wife, Nicole, following his ‘married with two kids’ intro. Penna snagged first place, and with it, four Hall of Fame suite tickets to Citizens Bank Park.

Nicole and their 10-year-old twin daughters, Ariana and Mikayla, secretly signed him up for the competition during a ride home from South Carolina. “My husband loves that everyone in our town of Ambler thinks he looks like Nick,” Nicole said. “There were about 30-something people who recommended that I sign him up.”

The event also featured standout moments from other contestants. Jackson Ryan, 9, brought the house down with his shimmy and earned the fan vote.
