Pennsylvania’s Miss Basketball Title goes to Perkiomen Valley Star

Perkiomen Valley’s Grace Galbavy wins Pennsylvania's Miss Basketball title after leading the team to a title and setting a scoring record.

Perkiomen Valley’s Grace Galbavy was named Pennsylvania’s Miss Basketball, following her historic season with the Vikings, writes the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The 6’1” forward dominated both offense and defense during the team’s 28-3 season, taking the Collegeville team to their first-ever state championship.

Galbavy broke the all-time girl’s scoring record in the Pioneer Athletic Conference, finishing her high school career with 1,869 points. She was also named the Suburban Player of the Year title.

Known for her commanding presence, Galbavy quickly became the team’s centerpiece after transferring to PV in her sophomore year.

The Perkiomen Valley basketball star is committed to Jake Forest University.

Pennsylvania’s Miss Basketball is awarded to the best high school female basketball player in the state, voted on by fans, coaches, and media.

The Mr. Basketball title went to Penn Charter’s Jake West following an undefeated season. West will go to Northwestern University in the fall.
