Four elementary-school basketball players watched the 2016 Spring-Ford High School Rams take the Pioneer Athletic Conference (PAC) title. They then vowed to duplicate the achievement, as Own McCue reported at City of Basketball Love.

The current Rams — Caleb Little, Alex Lewis, Zach Zollers, Mike McKenna, and Tyree Banks — are generally rotated throughout the playing roster.

But at the Feb. 14 PAC championship against Upper Merion High School, they took the court together.

By the time the game ended, they saw the 74–55 win they helped orchestrate.

“We’ve been talking about it since we were little kids,” Little said, commenting on the victory.

“It all starts with those five seniors,” said Rams coach Joe Dempsey. “Their record speaks for itself. … You don’t do what we’ve done thus far without special kids.”

Lewis commented, “It couldn’t be any better, This is what you dream of your whole life. This is the moment you want, to capture this.”

More on the Spring-Ford Rams’ capture of the PAC title is at City of Basketball Love.
