The North Montco Educational Foundation is gearing up for its Fourth Annual Car Show on Saturday, May 3 in Lansdale at the North Montco Technical Career Center. The event, which runs from 11 AM-2 PM, serves as the foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year and promises a family-friendly day packed with activities, prizes, and more than 100 dazzling vehicles.

The rain date is Sunday, May 4.

Car enthusiasts, local businesses, and sponsors will showcase a wide range of vehicles, trucks, and heavy demo equipment. New models from A&C Chevrolet, J.L. Freed, and North Penn Imports will be on display, along with a chance to experience the H&K Simulator and view heavy machinery demonstrations by Allen Myers.

Children attending the event can get an up-close look at a Towamencin Township firetruck, providing an interactive experience that highlights the vital work of first responders.

The car show will feature six “Best Of” categories, including Street Rods, Antique-Classic-Survivor, Muscle Cars, Trucks, Imports, and Custom/Modified Bodies. Trophies for first and second place are handcrafted by North Montco’s welding, auto body, and machining students. Also, visitors can try their luck at winning one of 35 raffle baskets, with prizes ranging across a variety of categories.

Music, food, and refreshments will add to the festive atmosphere.

Vehicle registration, available for a $20 fee through the foundation’s website, is required in advance as no on-site registration will be accepted. Attendance is free for spectators.

Proceeds from the event support the North Montco Educational Foundation’s efforts to enhance technical education opportunities for students. Funds raised contribute to Innovation Grants for teachers, support student projects, and help cover the costs associated with certifications, tools, personal protective equipment, and participation in competitive organizations such as SkillsUSA and HOSA.

One highlight of this year’s event will be a student-led project: the transformation of a 1995 Toyota Corolla into a fully electric vehicle by North Montco’s Automotive and Auto Body/Collision Repair students.

The North Montco Technical Career Center — serving students from the Methacton, North Penn, Perkiomen Valley, Souderton Area, and Wissahickon school districts — offers 23 programs in high-demand fields, including Culinary Arts, Carpentry, Machining, and Diesel Technology. More than 130 students currently participate in career work experiences or pre-apprenticeships through partnerships with local industries.

Industry leaders also play a critical role at NMTCC by serving on occupational advisory committees and assisting as judges at student competitions, reinforcing the connection between the school and the workforce.
