Willow Grove native, Jordan Spector is collaborating with local sports stars to create stunning works of art, reports Santiago Ortiz for Billy Penn.
Spector is a Temple grad and former walk-on player for the football team. When he suffered an injury that took him off the field, he turned his focus to an early passion: art. Spector started doing work for athletes that he played with before moving on to bigger projects.
In 2021, Spector painted a piece titled ‘On the Road to Victory,’ a 15-foot wide project highlighting Philadelphia Eagles greats throughout the years.
Spector has since worked with several pro athletes including A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith, Jason Kelce, and Bryce Harper. He styles his work as ‘art with energy,’ a slogan he got from former Eagles great, Brian Dawkins.
Dawkins is the first athlete to appear on Spector’s new line of trading cards, ‘Immortals’ which feature big moments in sports history. More recently, Spector debuted a trading card featuring Eagles veteran DE Brandon Graham’s iconic sack in the 2018 Super Bowl.
