Simone Collins Runs Unconventional Campaign in Montgomery County

Simone Collins, has gone viral for her pronatalist views. She is running for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Republican Simone Collins, who has gone viral with her husband Malcolm for their pronatalist lifestyle, is hoping to defeat Rep. Joe Webster, a Montgomery County Democrat, with her unconventional campaign, writes Aliya Schneider for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Collins lives in Audubon. She is a pronatalist Republican with a sizable following on YouTube. In November, she will challenge Webster to represent Montgomery County’s 150th District.

A pronatalist is a person who encourages an increased birth rate, but Simone Collins emphasized that the pronatalist movement wants to make it easier for families who want kids to have them. This would stave off demographic collapse and create a future of “human flourishing.”

Collins currently has four children and plans to have at least seven and up to 12, despite having to turn to IVF due to a teenage eating disorder.

She is running because she wants to see the government take its “foot off the neck of parents” and plans to explore how Pennsylvania laws make it “unnecessarily cumbersome to have a family.”

One of the examples she gives is car seat regulations, which she believes have gone too far as it is now harder to fit more kids in a vehicle.
