Plymouth Whitemarsh’s Jaden Colzie Announces His Commitment to Jefferson University

Plymouth Whitemarsh’s Jaden Colzie, center in orange, will continue his basketball career at Jefferson University, which extended a scholarship offer to him.

Plymouth Whitemarsh senior Jaden Colzie will continue his basketball career at Jefferson University, writes Owen McCue for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Colzie announced his commitment to Jefferson last week, just three days after the school extended a scholarship offer during his visit.

While touring the school, Colzie, a four-time All-Suburban One League selection, visited the gym, which brought many memories back.

“That’s where I thrive,” he said. “I told coach, this is probably the best gym that I’ve played at.”

While the rest of the campus was not familiar to him yet, he also found it to be a good fit.

“When you actually see the campus and you see all these new buildings, it’s really nice,” Colzie said. “I think I’ll thrive as a student and as a basketball player. After that visit, me and my parents were already invested in the program, and I feel like it was just a great fit.”

A four-year starter at Plymouth Whitemarsh, Colzie joined the 1,000-point club this winter. He wrapped up the season with 1,368 points in his career. In his last season, he averaged 17.8 points and 3.8 rebounds.
