Ten injuries and seven surgeries later, Jack Clark’s patience is paying off. He’s now a starter for the Clemson University Tigers in South Carolina and two wins away from Clemson’s first Final Four NCAA Tournament.

The Cheltenham native has been waiting for this moment for four years ,writes Colin Beazley for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

“It’s a great feeling, a lot of emotions,” Clark said. “And the emotions are good.”

His difficulties started after he grew six inches and got picked up out of Cheltenham High School by La Salle University.

His need for patience started during his 2019-20 season with LaSalle University, when he spent it rehabbing from his second ACL left knee injury.

The night after he committed, he tore his ACL on a fast-break dunk.

He was back in the game after rehab, but only nine games into his college career, he tore the same ACL.

In 2022-23, at North Carolina State, he missed the first 10 gams from a groin/hip injury, then a shoulder injury

Now at Clemson, and healthy again, things are looking up.
