The Roxborough Development Corporation has partnered with Ice Sculpture Philly for the Second Annual Arctic Wonderland taking place at Pocket Park in Roxborough on February 24 from 1 to 4 p.m., writes Vince Carey for the Main Line Times & Suburban.

The already popular outdoor winter festival will turn Pocket Park into the North Pole with arctic animal ice cutouts and carvings, arctic mini golf, and live ice sculpture demonstrations.

Live music, warming stations, food, and local beer from New Ridge Brewing will also enrich the event, along with many other surprises.

As part of the family-friendly event, local businesses will be showcasing the ice sculptures they commissioned.

“During this chilly time of year, we like to bring the community together for a wintery blast of fun,” said Roxborough Development Corporation Executive Director Jacqueline Cusack.

“The Pocket Park will transform into an arctic wonderland, featuring captivating ice sculptures and a plethora of activities, food, and overall magical experience.”

Musical guests during the festival will be Velvet Snow and Skip Winters.

The event is free; food and drink will be “pay as you go.”
