Country singer Jordana Bryant recently talked to Mike Palm at TribLive about missing Pennsylvania and turning 18.

Bryant graduated from The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr and now is living in Nashville pursuing all her music dreams.

She hasn’t forgotten about the Keystone State, however. The two things she misses from her home just outside of Philadelphia are Wawa and the Pennsylvania autumns.

“Yes, I definitely miss Wawa,” she said with a laugh in a recent phone call.

“What I would say is I miss Pennsylvania falls. There’s really nothing like the, you know, the colors changing, and I would say it’s a little bit strange here going to like a pumpkin patch when it’s like 75 degrees out and it’s a little bit different.”

She will be home soon though when she opens for viral country star Alexandra Kay on November 3 at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale.

Earlier this fall she was on the road with Girl Named Tom.

In one of her latest tracks “18,” she shares how she felt turning 18, how nothing really felt different. As she gets older, she said, she is realizing that even adults don’t always what they are doing.

She added, “We’re all still growing and learning and on our own journeys and that’s the beauty of life, right?”
