Many Philadelphia-based artists will play at the XPoNential Music Fest.

Moustapha Noumbissi, who grew up in Upper Darby and was a member of the Bryn Mawr Boys Choir, will be performing at this year’s WXPN-FM XPoNential Music Fest on Saturday, September 23, writes Ben Silver for Main Line Today.

Noumbissi was born in Belgium to Cameroonian parents and throughout his childhood, he was introduced to the musical traditions of many different cultures.

His latest records have fallen into the indie pop and psychedelic soul category. You can find his music at Spotify and YouTube.

Other Philadelphia-based acts that will be performing throughout the weekend include Low Cut Connie, Julia Pratt, Dan McCloskey, Nik Greeley and The Operators, Mobbluz and Velvet Rouge.

WXPN-FM’s 30th annual XPoNential Music Festival is coming to Wiggins Park on the Delaware River for three days, September 22 through September 24.

This will be the first year of the music festival in 11 years without evening shows at nearby Freedom Mortgage Pavilion.  WXPN said it wants to honor the festival’s roots by committing to an “intimate concert experience.”
