The Philadelphia region is opening an abundance of new restaurants across the culinary spectrum, bringing delectable dishes to tempt area palates.

Many of the delectable dishes they will serve will be in Montgomery County. In fact, among the 30 new dining experiences planned to debut across the city and suburbs, three will be nearby. They’re scheduled for:

Café Carmela in Huntingdon Valley, is known as popular Northeast Italian family restaurant, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer. Its namesake is the owner’s mother who was born in Italy. The restaurant boasts a traditional and authentic Italian menu.

Lu & Aug’s runs in the family. Named after their children, husband and wife Ash and Pretha Kailath will open this ice cream shop in Ardmore later next month. Guests can treat themselves to affogatos and soft-serve ice cream.

Shake Shack, a popular standby, is set to open another brick-and-mortar location in Montgomeryville. It will replace the former Wendy’s at Airport Square. This chain is known for its variety of burgers and milkshakes.
