Montgomery County Among the Nation’s 40 Wealthiest Congressional Districts of 2022

Pennsylvania’s Fourth Congressional District, which encompasses the majority of Montgomery County, is one of the wealthiest congressional districts of 2022, writes Andrew DePietro forForbes.

Census data indicates that there are 40 congressional districts in the country with median household incomes that are higher than $100,000. While most of these are in California, Pennsylvania is among the states that contributed one to the list.

The Fourth Congressional District ranked 36th. It has 295,800 total households, household median income of $102,059, and a household mean income of $134,808.

The percentage of households with incomes of less than $10,000 is 3.9 percent, while there is 2.3 percent of households with incomes of $10,000 to $14,999. The next income bracket — $15,000 to $24,999 — has a 5.2 percent share.

Meanwhile, in the higher brackets, the percentage of households with incomes of $100,000 to $149,999 is 19.3 percent, households with incomes of $150,000 to $199,999 make up 13.3 percent, and households with incomes of $200,000 or above have an 18.4 percent share.
