Two Montgomery County companies have received a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index that measures corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The scores are calculated based on an analysis of publicly available information along with information submitted to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

Companies were scored on a scale of zero to 100. More than 1,200 companies were rated nationwide.

In Montgomery County, the companies that received the perfect score are the Conshohocken-based AmerisourceBergen and IKEA, with U.S. headquarters in Conshohocken.

“At AmerisourceBergen, LGBTQ workplace equality is a paramount priority,” said Silvana Battaglia, EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer at AmerisourceBergen. “It is our responsibility to ensure our associates feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work at each of our campuses across the globe.”

“We are honored to receive this recognition for the sixth consecutive year and remain committed to creating an inclusive and equitable experience for our LGBT+ co-workers,” said Rafael Fantauzzi, Country Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion Officer at IKEA Retail U.S.
