Simon Property Group, the King of Prussia Mall owner, has teamed up with Klarna to offers shoppers at its properties in-store payment solutions, writes Liz Kiesche for Seeking Alpha.

“Identifying ways that support the success of our merchants while elevating the customer shopping experience are key priorities for Simon,” said David Simon, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Simon.

The company’s partnership with Klarna provides the company’s retail tenants with “an important advantage this holiday season and well into the future,” he added, “a unique way to attract new audiences already embracing the convenience that Klarna’s interest-free payment options provide.”

Klarna’s flexible payment option will be available to shoppers at participating stores across the entire Simon portfolio.

Physical retailers in Simon centers will also benefit from Klarna’s suite of innovative performance-based digital marketing capabilities.

Additionally, the company will collaborate with Simon on marketing campaigns as well as in-mall activations and communication programs to help raise awareness among shoppers over time.

The two companies said they are also working on other strategic initiatives they plan to announce and roll out sometime in the future.
