John Freitas is the SVP, Director of Customer Experience at Huntingdon Valley Bank, and his proudest professional accomplishment is leading a paperless initiative for a bank that had 60+ branches. 

“Over two years, we migrated our imaging system, digitalized documents, eliminated the need for couriers to transport paper between locations, and established electronic workflows to manage the movement of electronic documents and information,” John explains. “The implementation was such a success that I had the opportunity to speak at a conference and share our experiences with other banks who were looking to do the same.”

Rick Lemcoe has had the biggest impact on his career, as he was his first manager when he moved from a retail banking branch into operations. “He helped me discover what I enjoy doing within our field,” John says. “As I continued to grow, eventually becoming one of his peers, he continued to be a close friend and mentor anytime I needed an opinion or support.”

John Freitas earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drexel University and a Masters Certification in Project Management and Systems Design from Cornell University.

“My wife and I chose to start our family in Montgomery County because of the wonderful schools, great communities, and diverse population,” John notes. “The location is great because you are so close to the culture and entertainment of Philadelphia, while also being a short drive away from the mountains or beaches.”

John enjoys Bistro Albertino because it is a quaint, family-run Italian restaurant within walking distance from his house in Willow Grove. “I have enjoyed numerous dinner dates with my lovely wife over a bottle of wine,” he says. “We usually get their risotto al Pescatore.”
