The number of new COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County have been slowing down in PA, but we’ll show you where COVID-19 has spread the most and least.

This news comes from Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News. Pennsylvania has now reached well over 1.15 million COVID-19 cases.

The latest data compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health highlights the cases of COVID-19 infection in each ZIP Code statewide for the seven days ending April 28, 2021 compared to the seven days prior.

Here we highlight where COVID-19 has spread the most and the least in Montgomery County.

The highest increase in during this period was in ZIP code 19464 (Pottstown) which spread the most with increase of 3%, with 94 new cases, and the second-highest was 2% in ZIP code 19401 (Norristown) with 69 new cases recorded in the last week.

Zip Code 19473 (Collegeville) reported an increase of 3% with 35 new cases. ZIP Code 19406 (King of Prussia) reported an increase of 2% with 26 new cases, while ZIP Code 19001 (Abington) reported an increase of 2% with 23 new COVID-19 cases.

In ZIP Code 19525 (New Hanover) reported an increase of almost 3% with 26 new cases, ZIP Code 19468 (Royersford) has an increase of 1% of new COVID-19 cases with a total of 22.

Furthermore, ZIP Code 19090 (Willow Grove) also reported a 1% increase with 17 new cases. ZIP Code 18041 (East Greenville) reported a 4% increase of 14 new cases.

In terms of where COVID-19 has spread the least, ZIP Code 19004 (Bala Cynwyd) has reported 1% new cases, 6 total; while ZIP Code 19072 (Narberth) has 2% increase with 7 new cases.

Zip Code 19453 (Mont Clare) has a 4% increase with 2 new COVID-19 cases. 

Finally, ZIP Codes 19409 (Fairview Village), 19484 (Valley Forge), and 19486 (West Point) all have reported zero new cases.

COVID-19 cases are plateauing Montgomery County. Please continue wear a mask and wash your hands, and get the vaccine if you can.
