Signs of Spring and Warmer Weather Give Hope to Local Residents and Businesses

At Linvilla Orchards in nearby Media, peachtree buds are swelling and that means it’s time for pruning. Warmer temperatures are bringing the trees back to life.

And that’s not the only thing, as residents, businesses, and restaurants embrace the coming spring in the area, reports Rosemary Connors for nbcphiladelphia.com.

Linvilla farm manager Norm Schultz is grateful.

“The good thing is it gets people to think about Linvilla. We’re sure that the farm market and the garden center will be busy. The phone will start ringing–what are you guys picking today? “

With Easter approaching, Linvilla says it will be opening Bunnyland this year. “It’s great to see those kids have those traditions,” Schultz says.

The warmer temperatures this week also brought people outside.

It didn’t go unnoticed by clerks in Local Home and Gifts, as people visited stores and picked up coffee. For businesses slammed by the pandemic, there’s hope in the air to go with the warmer temperatures.
