March 6 Update: ZIP Codes Where COVID-19 Spread the Most and Least in Montgomery County

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County has plateaued, although some areas have slight increases across the county, write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

The latest data compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health highlights the cases of COVID-19 infection in each ZIP Code statewide for the seven days ending March 3, 2021, compared to the seven days prior.

The highest percentage increase in during this period was in ZIP code 19075 (Oreland) with an increase of 4%, of 16 new cases recorded in the last week, as well as ZIP code 19446 (Lansdale) with an increase of 2%, that is 72 new cases.  

ZIP Code 19403 (Norristown), which recorded an increase of 2% percent to reach a total of 64 new cases, as well as ZIP code 19002 (Ambler) with a 2% increase of 36 new COVID-19 cases.

ZIP code 19044 (Horsham) reported an increase of 2% for a total of 15 new cases, ZIP Code 19444 (Lafayette Hill) had an increase of 3% with 14 new cases since last week, and ZIP code 18054 (Green Lane) reported 5 new cases at an increase of 2%.

In terms of where COVID-19 has spread the least, ZIP Code 19095 (Wyncote/Glenside) reported 1% increase with 6 new cases, while ZIP Code 19031 (Whitemarsh Township) has 2 new COVID-19 cases.

Cases seem to be slowing down in Montgomery County. Please continue wear a mask and social distance.
