After she spent eight months on a ventilator battling COVID-19, Bonnie Reilly has now left AristaCare in Plymouth Meeting at the end of last week and headed home with her husband, Bill, according to a staff report from CBS Philly.

Before arriving at AristaCare at Meadow Springs, a skilled nursing facility, Reilly was transferred to three different hospitals across the region.

However now that she has recovered enough she is finally able to go home and spend time with her family for the first time since May. And after thinking about the past months, she is especially thankful to be alive.

“You don’t know how much you take for granted,” she said. “I had to learn to walk again, to eat, to talk. I couldn’t do any of that when I came here.”

To help her celebrate finally being free of the disease, she got a proper sendoff at the facility and took the opportunity to thank the staff at AristaCare for her recovery.
