Montgomery PA Board of Commissioners Hold Final COVID-19 Virtual Press Briefing of 2020

7 new deaths reported since Tuesday, January 12, bringing the total number of Montgomery County residents confirmed positive to have died from COVID-19 to 1,087.

On December 30th, 2020, at 3:00pm, the Montgomery PA Board of Commissioners held their last coronavirus update of 2020. It was their  96th briefing since the first one on March 8th, 2020.

As of December 29th, 2020, there were 298 new positive cases, and 22 cases were from long term care facilities, and the age range the current positives was from 1 year old to 96 years old. None are the result of antibody testing.

The positivity rate as of December 25, 2020, was 10.53%, a decrease of 0.4 percentage points since last the report.

5 new deaths have been reported since Tuesday, December 29, 2020, bringing the total number of Montgomery County residents confirmed positive to have died from COVID-19 to 1,007, of which 521 are females and 486 are males.

There are approximately 438 individuals being treated for COVID-19 in Montgomery County hospitals, which is a decrease of 26 since last week, with about 13% of them requiring the use of a ventilator.
