The initiative has so far sold over 500 t-shirts at $25 apiece. The VFTCB has decided to continue the fundraiser throughout the summer to get the number of t-shirts sold up to 1,000 and raise a total of over $25,000.
Everyone who purchases a t-shirt is also encouraged to post an image of themselves on social media wearing it and tagging it with #MontCoStrong.
“A HUGE thank you to the Montco community,” said Mike Bowman, President & CEO of the VFTCB. “It’s because of their generosity that we’re able to support the county’s fund to help those in need. We knew we could count on everyone coming together because this county has heart and resilience.”
The fund is being used to help the community safety net organizations that have been critically impacted by the current public health crisis. These include organizations that serve low-income and food-insecure residents, senior citizens, veterans, and the homeless, among others.
Shirts can be ordered at the VFTCB or DJB Specialties sites.
